Our Story

Margaret Chen founded Greenfield Consulting in 2014 after nearly two decades at global strategy firms. She saw a gap: the companies that needed the most help — growing mid-market businesses facing inflection points — were underserved by the traditional consulting model. The fees were too high, the teams too junior, and the recommendations too generic.

Greenfield was built to be different. We keep our team small and senior. Every engagement is led by a partner with deep domain expertise. We do not layer in associates or delegate the hard thinking. Our clients work directly with the people who understand their business, their industry, and their ambitions.

Over the past decade, we have partnered with more than 60 companies across manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and technology. Our clients come back because we deliver results — not slide decks.

Margaret founded Greenfield Consulting after 18 years in strategy roles at McKinsey and Bain. She leads the firm's growth strategy practice and has advised over 40 mid-market companies on market expansion, competitive positioning, and organizational transformation. MBA from Wharton, BA from Stanford.

Partner, Operations

David brings 15 years of operational consulting experience, specializing in manufacturing and supply chain optimization. Before joining Greenfield, he led operational turnarounds at Deloitte and served as VP of Operations at a Fortune 500 industrial company. MS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.
